Dead Air

Mackenzie Walker wasn’t planning on using her college radio show to solve a decades-old murder, but then she receives an anonymous tip that the wrong man may have taken the fall.

Episode 8: The End by Gwenda Bond

Mackenzie Walker has broadcast to the world—or to her listeners, anyway—the secret she uncovered at the Order of St. Franklin initiation ceremony: the creepy robed rich dudes manufactured Dick Carlisle’s alibi the night his wife, Peg Graham, was murdered. Mackenzie finally has some confirmation that the story of that night eighteen years ago doesn’t add up. Now she needs the proof. With the help of Ryan, she begins pressing wherever she can: the cops, the library, the man who sold her cousin heroin before she died of an overdose. And when you push, sometimes someone pushes back. She can’t stop, though. Not now. Finally, there is only one place left to push: Ryan’s grandfather. Dick’s father. And he’s suddenly willing to talk.
