In Dead Air, Mackenzie’s investigation gets messy. And in Bookburners, the team rushes to save the Vatican from impending disaster. Plus, a new micro story is published for Microfiction Monday!
Everything in the Bookburners’ lives falls into two categories: Before London and After London. Before London, things were strange, sure, but After London . . . “strange” doesn’t even begin to describe it. Magic is everywhere—and the Bookburners can only be in one place at a time.

The Bookburners know a thing or two about demons. But when a particularly nasty bunch of supernatural beings swarms the Vatican, they might need more than a thing or two up their sleeves. Luckily, Asanti has been studying.

Mackenzie Walker wasn’t planning on using her college radio show to solve a decades-old murder, but then she receives an anonymous tip that the wrong man may have taken the fall.
Read or listen to weekly ebook and audio episodes of the serial novel Dead Air and then check out Mackenzie’s podcast for a uniquely immersive experience. Does the truth lie in the serial, the podcast . . . or somewhere in-between?
Mackenzie Walker dives head-first into her investigation of the eighteen-year-old murder of Peg Graham. She has a box of documents from the police, and a sort-of partner — Peg’s now-adult son Ryan who has his own questions about the night of his mother’s death. Namely, how he remembers hearing a gunshot when he was nowhere near the site of the crime. He’s eager to help, but working with him gets complicated fast, especially given that Mackenzie’s first suspect is Ryan’s father. And that she’s developing a crush on Ryan himself. The investigation takes priority, though, and Mackenzie uses the second episode of her radio show to call Ryan’s father’s alibi into question, painting him as a suspect in Peg’s murder. Too bad there’s no rewind button on live radio.
