Happy Olympics! Here's this Week's Round-up of our Internet Most Loved Links

It's officially the Sunday of summer. To make the most of it, let's all aspire to have as much fun this August as these baby goats:[embed]https://vine.co/v/iXPadiFxYVu[/embed]To celebrate the Olympics, take a look at the official film of the Tokyo 1964 Olympic Games! Unfortunately, embedding has been disabled for the video, but 52 years later it still holds up as a completely amazing feat of human achievement. Also, remember Nadia Comaneci, the wonder-child from Romania who scored the first Perfect 10 in Olympic gymnastics? Let's remind ourselves of our own limitations with video below, in which this little girl manages to throw herself around the gymnasium with a truly incredible grace and agility. How does she do that?![embed]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yl9QpC8_LiE[/embed]Not only are they making a film adaptation of A Wrinkle in Time -- how did we not know about this?? *hangs head in shame* -- but Ava DuVernay is directing it! And not only that, but she just became the first black woman ever (and the third woman ever) to direct a live-action movie with a production budget over $100 million. WOOO! Finally! *frantically searches for pre-sale tickets*

For a while we thought we were the only ones who still played Neopets but it turns out there are dozens of us. Dozens! No, but really, there are actually a few thousand Neopets players still roaming around the site, which used to boast a user-base of roughly 25mil. Players can explore the 19 official "lands" accessible on the Neopia globe...However, additional lands & unlisted site features considered long forgotten are actually still tended by a tight-knit group of Neopets super fans, who return to visit several-dozen still-active links. Talk about commitment! If you're anything like us, making decisions can sometimes be fraught with anxiety. No more -- there's an algorithm for that! This website breaks down your decisions into simple weighted components and then tells you what decision you should make based on those variables. Thank goodness for the internet, or we would never know where to eat lunch!

Designer Brady Whitney has created what might be both our greatest challenge and worst nightmare: the Codex Silenda, a 5 page wooden book that requires the reader to solve a complex puzzle before turning to next page. We have to say, this might be one of the coolest looking nightmares we have ever seen. Look at all of those engravings! It's... so... beautiful *eyes water*Books can be expensive, but that cost is nothing compared to the subscription price of academic journals. Luckily, Open Library of the Humanities is here! From the Journal of Portuguese Linguistics to the Journal of 21st Century Writings (which we cannot recommend enough!), the Open Library of the Humanities will help you satisfy your most obscure brain-itches."When pigs fly" is one of those phrases that has always puzzled us. Apparently, the popular idiom comes from a centuries-old Scottish proverb, but we can't seem to find any info about that mystery proverb. Regardless, this website satisfies our curiosity...or, rather, distracts us enough to forget what we were wondering about. We recommend turning the volume up. It's majestic. The human body is so cool, especially the skeleton. How is it that our spine, which is by no means rigid, can keep us upright for 70+ years without too much trouble? It's truly amazing! This website, eSkeletons, "provides an interactive environment in which to examine and learn about skeletal anatomy through [their] osteology database." We can't get enough! The common marmoset's skull is so funny and adorable! Look at those silly teeth, awww!On a more serious note, we are in the early stages of a 4th industrial revolution. Also known as Industry 4.0, the 4th industrial revolution is the current trend of automation and data exchange in manufacturing technologies. It includes cyber-physical systems, the Internet of things, and cloud computing, creating what has been called a "smart factory".
